I have been working with wood and building stuff since forever I guess. I retired from IBM as a Senior Engineer, in July of 2004 after 39+ years of working with computers in one fashion or another. After retirement I worked as a sales associate at the Raleigh, NC Woodcraft Store and was a member of the Triangle Woodworkers Association. While working at Woodcraft I was exposed to many different woodworking fields which expanded my interest to try different things, turning being one of them. My wife Dolores and I moved to Crossville in October of 2006 and I currently work part time as the Assistant Manager of the ACE Hardware store on Lantana Road. I have turned pens for the last year or so and would like to learn more about turning to deepen my turning skills.
