I have had an interest in woodworking since Junior High School. After high school and two years college, I moved to Ohio where I worked for twelve years in plastic injection molding and then five years for Ohio Crankshaft , who manufactured very large crankshafts and camshafts for large diesel engines, like trains and ships. I retired from Ford Motor Company, Cleveland Engine Plant and Grey Iron Foundry, in Brookpark, Ohio in 2004, after 28 years as a Machine Repairman.
My wife and I moved to Crossville two weeks before my retirement. My one specification in the house I bought was to have a ready built shop. I now have a complete wood working shop where I don't have to move a car or drag tools out from the wall. I bought a lathe and joined the Cumberland Woodturners in 2005, after seeing their article in the local newspaper. I am, by no means, that good at woodturning, but I am learning more all the time, especially from our demos at the monthly meetings and the great turners in our club. My other hobbies are computers and RVing..
